zweifel ist ein dem menschen von natur aus unerträglicher zustand. diese überlebenswichtige eigenschaft ist gleichzeitig diejenige, die uns befähigt und zwingt, entscheidungen zu treffen. im innersten verunsichert ist jeder mensch empfänglich für anleitungen von aussen, um den nagenden zweifel zu beenden.

zweifel zu ertragen hilft dabei, sich gelassener zu entscheiden.

I also find the idea very amusing that watching your inner tendencies go wild on the page, you are the one who gets to hold the camera. So once that comes into play, the individual tendency´s egos will go even wilder for your attention.

It is vital to learn that said camera is nothing but that: a view point from which the unfolding emotions and thoughts are perceived, and which can be changed at any given moment. (Again, this is not a choice to people with ADD, and one of the greatest benefits of the medication). Pretty much all play writing uses this, as do movies; we tell the story which has most conflict and drama, because the peacefulness in between isn´t much of a show. Nevertheless, it´s what most of us yearn for: to be at easy with the contradicting forces of our souls. I have found that drawing them helps a bit, as it turns them into something tactile rather than abstract, and exposes their sillyness and lovelyness alike.

About three years ago, I was very infatuated with the music of said artist.  This provided me with an excellent opportunity to pull out the old characters I designed for the human ID and SUPER - EGO. I have always enjoyed turning the inner struggles into the setting of an insane roommate-situation; Most of all, because their lack of concern for the person embodying them becomes more obvious that way. The song titles given in the frames can be understood as a soundtrack, particularly lyric - wise.

I think we tend to dissociate ourselves from them and forget that if we do so, they become a lot more powerful, up to a degree where it may get hard to get our point across even to ourselves.

This may also ring a bell with others who suffer from ADHD. A very exhausting aspect of the syndrome is that, with an overall focus missing, we ADHDs have trouble keeping it together, and hence are torn apart by ouir tendencies. This makes for very funny character design, and even funnier inner monologues, but it´s the opposite of controll; The individual is torn between it´s wants and duties. After being diagnosed and tuned into medication, I started integrating these parts of me into my psyche. I am glad that I´ve drawn as much of them as I have, since this mind-splitting experience is now more understandable to me. In conclusion, I have become more aware of them, probably more so than people without ADHD, because they were never pressured as much by these parts of their personality. Alas, there is a lot to be found in this for every one. Just imagine the circus going off in your head throughout puberty ;)

#note: Of course I gave it to the artist. But it probably scared him more than it amused him, cause I didn´t get feedback. Which, given the characters, I somewhat understand XD
